Frequently Asked Questions

A memory bear is a stuffed animal made from clothing or other sentimental items that hold special memories. The purpose of a memory bear is to provide comfort and a tangible reminder of a loved one or a special event. Memory bears can be made from a variety of materials such as shirts, dresses, blankets, or other fabric items that hold sentimental value. They can be customized with embroidery, patches, or other embellishments to make them even more special. Memory bears can be a cherished keepsake for individuals who have lost a loved one, or for those who want to preserve the memories of a special event such as a wedding or graduation.

When it is time for me to start your special request, I will prepare your clothing and design your bear, if I have any questions I’ll get in touch with you.

The best material to make memory bears is usually a soft and durable fabric such as cotton, fleece, or minky. These materials are easy to work with and can hold up well over time. It’s also important to choose a fabric that is machine washable and can withstand frequent handling. Additionally, if you are using clothing or other sentimental items to make the memory bear, it’s important to choose a fabric that will complement the colors and textures of those items.

The number of shirts needed to make a memory bear depends on the size of the bear and the size of the shirts. As a general rule, one adult-sized shirt can make one small to medium-sized memory bear. However, if you want to make a larger bear or if the shirts are smaller in size, you may need to use more shirts. It’s always a good idea to have extra shirts on hand in case you need them. Additionally, if you are using other clothing items such as pants or dresses, you may need fewer shirts to make the memory bear.

No, they are not. They are not toys.
They are primarily for holding, hugging, comforting, and sharing. They aren’t meant to be played with. Most often have sewn-in eyes, buttons, pins
and other small parts.

Yes, we make elephants, kittens, horses along with special requests.

We like to personalize the bear utilizing the initials or name on a paw pad and fit it either on the foot or hand paw, depending on which fits best. Another great spot is on the belly as it is easy to read and allows for more space.

The cost of having a memory bear made can vary depending on several factors such as the size of the bear, the complexity of the design, and the materials used. On average, a small to medium-sized memory bear can cost anywhere from $50 to $150. However, larger or more intricate designs can cost more.
